The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has driven significant transformations in modern parenting practices through data-driven systems and digital interaction platforms. However, most existing technological developments have not fully integrated local cultural dimensions as an essential component of parenting practices. This gap highlights the need for a technology-based parenting approach that is not only functionally effective but also contextually relevant and culturally sensitive. This study aims to develop an AI-based parenting model that is adaptive to local wisdom values. The research employed a mixed-methods sequential exploratory design, beginning with a qualitative phase involving 20 participants to identify contextual needs through thematic analysis, followed by a quantitative phase with 45 participants using a pre-test and post-test design. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, normality testing, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The findings resulted in the development of the NURTURE–AI Parenting model, which integrates AI technology with Sundanese local wisdom values, namely silih asah, silih asih, and silih asuh. The implementation of the model demonstrated significant improvements in parenting competence, cultural value integration, and technology acceptance, with gains categorized at a moderate level. This study concludes that the proposed model has strong potential as an adaptive and contextual approach to modern parenting practices. The original contribution of this research lies in the development of a culturally integrated AI-based parenting model that positions technology as a pedagogical support system aligned with local cultural contexts.
